On behalf of the Franklin County School Board, faculty,
staff, students, and administration, I welcome you to our
district's web site. Please take a moment to browse through the
information provided and become acquainted with the services we
offer our community of learners.
Approximately 1230 students attend our schools. The district
offers a comprehensive curriculum from preschool through high
school and adult education programs. Our district partners with
many agencies, enhancing the needs of our students. We are very
proud of our Boys & Girls Club after school program, the Take
Stock in Children scholarship program, and our coordination
between Gulf Coast Community College and our high school
students.
Career Academies have been initiated and additional planned:
Technology, Carpentry, and Culinary, with certification to be
completed this year. We hope to add Welding to this list of
vocational opportunities in the near future.
Our district provides a clean, safe, and student-centered
environment through a teamwork approach: visionary leadership,
sound management, and collaboration. We all work toward
providing authentic educational experiences which will prepare
them for success as they transition toward adulthood.
Thank you for spending time with us.
Sincerely,
Nina M. Marks
