Athletics provide secondary school students the opportunity to develop higher standards of mental, moral, social and physical fitness through participation in extracurricular athletic programs. These activities function as part of the total educational curriculum to strive for the development of well-rounded individuals with positive citizenship traits.

In order for a student to be eligible to participate in interscholastic extracurricular student activities, he/she must meet all of the requirements established by the Florida High School Athletic Association, maintain satisfactory conduct as defined by the FCSD Code of Student Conduct, and maintain adequate academic standards as described in the FCSD Student Progression Plan.
