• A parent, whose child is assigned an out-of-field teacher, may request in writing that his/her child be transferred to an in-field classroom teacher within the school and grade in which the student is currently enrolled. The request for transfer will be reviewed by the principal and other appropriate personnel. Parents will be notified of approval or denial within a time period not to exceed two weeks of the receipt of the written request. Transfer will be made if there is an in-field teacher for that course or grade level that is employed by the school and the transfer does not violate maximum class size pursuant to s. 1003.03. If the request is denied the parent will be notified and the reasons for the denial will be specified.
