What an exciting season for the middle school girl's basketball team. With a 10-2 record, the Seahawks defeated Tolar 29-20 for the Championship title. Alonah Segree, 8th grader from the Apalachicola Bay Charter School, was the high point scorer and Kayleigh Messer, 8th grader at Franklin, was the team-leading block shooter and rebounder.
Coach Paul Bankston's face lit up the gym and his Seahawk pride was evident. When asked his thoughts on the season he stated, "The girls gave me their all, played their hearts out! They deserved 1st place."
Special thanks to Coach Paul Bankston & volunteer Nahshon Bankston for their continued dedication to Seahawk Nation.
